Video Review of the Best anti-virus software

Posted by bestantivirussoftwarereview on October 13, 2008

I found some great software finally after much trial and error. After trying many anti-virus, adware and malware removal programs including Norton, Macafee, Previx Csi, Spybot search and Destroy, Uni-Blue and others, I only found one that provided a solution to the dreaded VirtuMonde Virus.

Virtumonde is an adware program that downloads and displays targeted pop-up advertising. If you have ever heard an un-invited Jerry Sienfeld talking on your computer, then you have Virtumonde or some variant thereof. VituMonde may hijack your browser to unwanted advertising-related sites. In addition, VirtuMonde may monitor your Web surfing habits so it can serve you with hundreds of targeted ads. What makes it dastardly is, it’s almost impossible to remove because it resides in your windows boot sector on your hard drive. It also creates .dll files in your system32 folder. When you try to track Virtumonde it morphs into different files and hides. The only way to kill it for sure is to FDisk and re-format your windows hard drive… But nobody wants to do that. But that’s what I had to do prior to finding an excellent anti-virus software program.

Please check out this 15 minute video review of Spyware Doctor and see for yourself how it works.
To get Spyware Doctor with Anti-Virus go to the PC Tool Website

Spyware doctor offers protection against Spyware, Adware, Spyware Trojans, Keyloggers, Identity Theft, Hijackers, Tracking Threats, Rogue Anti-Spyware, Unwanted Software, Phishing, Popups and Bad Websites and in my opinion is the best anti-spyware program plus you can download it free, however I would recommend that you also get the real time anti-virus that comes with Spyware Doctor as an optional feature. Spyware doctor with anti-virus costs about $40.00 per year, which is cheap, I just got a renewal notice from Macafee and they want $109.00 for real-time virus protection, and Macafee never recognized Virtumonde on my computer plus it uses a hell of a lot of memory. Spy ware doctor with anti-virus is the only way to go because it’s easy on memory, gives an alert when I try to open an infected file, like a keygen.exe from a bit-torrent site for example. It is updated daily around 8:30am pacific time every day. So it always has the latest virus definitions, catches bad cookies, active X, it’s microsoft certified and it works better by a long-shot than any other program I have tried.

Also, when you run a deep scan, it checks every file on the drive, including .dll, .ocx, .exe, and it even checks all backup and restore files. Once your drive has been “deep scanned” IT’S CLEAN! The deep scan takes a while though, like an hour for my 74gb c drive. To scan my 500gb drive takes about 4 hours, but I have a Dell GX260, it’s at least 5 years old and runs at 2.4ghz on a single core. I’m thinking about getting a new one. I’m sure it will scan faster on a newer computer. So now, I just schedule it to run after business hours and it works out good.
